Why protests are a waste of time.

I make qualification here: Countries who have nothing else that they can do such as Myanmar i feel sorry for them, truly, but protests in relatively safe/prosperous countries? OH COME ON.
I believe in apathy. I believe in being left alone to bask in the awesomeness that is being unaffected by anyone around you. That also makes me narcissistic, selfish, individualistic and above all it also makes me, NOT BOTHERED.
Anyway, protesting means, trying to get your point across en masse to a government, a corporation or some oppressor that’s obviously making you poo your pants. Well protesting means going against the grain being the “voice” of the unheard and all that bullshit. Well on the other side of the story, when 5000 or more people take the street, it also means that more police need to be out there, and this equates to:
1) A waste in tax payers money, YOURS as well
2) Traffic issues, YOUR FAULT AS well because NOT ALL of us want you to protest and some of us are perfectly happy with being bent over and screwed. Really. I’d like that more than sitting in fucking traffic for 2 hours.
3) Because police resources are being stretched, some poor sod is being sodomised, raped or robbed, because you want to fucking protest.
4) Finally, protests also affect the economy (if done on a large scale) that means people who don’t want to get involved in your shit are inadvertently drawn in because there will be reduced in trade.
Protests dont serve much of a purpose really. Except make you look like a selfish prat. I find a lot of protesters are hypocrites. 1 day of “against the grain government hating shit” and the next day a proud recipient of a government scholarship.
At the end of it all, you really can’t blame 4 policemen from firing tear gas and water cannons a 4000 people. I mean come on. Can’t you protest over conference call or something?I know 999999999999 are going to disagree with me over this post. But honestly, i dont care, cause i am not an asshat. and… all you’re going to get in response is LOL.
