Yeah sorry for the hiatus. No not really. I mean the sorry bit. Im not sorry. But anyway I’m back. The saying goes, nothing is ever certain except death and taxes. So true. Friends can come and go, by the time you reach 30 you’d have like 3 friends i reckon. After you get married you’d have say 1 other friend. So you better damn sure marry the right person cause she/he is going to be your friend, your everything.
Anyway I looked out my window to day and the weather was overcast, it really reflects the state of the world really. Sad. Pathetic and fucking awful. Man I just have nothing funny to say today, except that when I spoke to some friends weeks ago and they told me in EVERYTHING there is good and there is bad. Always 2 sides to EVERYTHING and i just felt like slapping them and telling them that what they had just said was garbage and the most stupid thing I have ever heard in my life and that they were insulting their intelligence and the intelligence of well people with some form of grey matter.
Here is an excerpt of our conversation:
Them: Everything has its good and bad. Everything.
Me: What the fuck?
Them: yes, you have to look at 2 sides of everything.
Me: yes 2 sides of SOME things not everything.
Them: Everything, cause everything has their flaws and merits.
Me: so AIDS has its good and bad? Raping 9 year old children and killing them has their flaws and merits? Shooting heroin has their good and bad, oh wait smoking has its merits too i guess?
Them: yeah, well what could be the possible good of AIDS hmm..
Me: what the fuck? well the only good i can see if getting rid of people who’d suggest there was good and bad in everything.
Them: No but everything has 2 sides.
Me: like hell they do. One day if any of us gets cancer, and dying I’d like to see the good in that. Like Whooptidoo, the downside is that i have cancer, the upside is, i dont have to share this world with insane morons like you ! woo!
Them: . . . .
Me: yeah so i guess child rape and immense poverty has their ups and downs too.
Them: . . . .
Me: yeah i thought so. Next time think before you make such a stupid generalised statement.
Anyway how this conversation came across was about our arguments regarding smoking. They were annoyed that i said smoking is terrible and that it was making me sick. I mean come on even smokers admit to me that their habits are bad. People who are in denial often say, I choose to smoke, im not addicted i can quit anytime. Yeah, and i can will it upon myself to miraculously gain a six pack while on a supersize me diet.
