The ipod Dilemma: I can’t choose.

So Apple has done it again. They released a new mobile phone a couple of months ago and now they’ve also released updates to the ever popular ipod products and you can’t decide what to choose. Well, this is your lucky day, cause I have used both of them and i can tell you they are both cool but i can understand your confusion. Many people I spoke to told me that touch screen phones are cool, and the iphone looks beautiful. Well now my friends, i can just tell you this you can now get all the glorious touch happy features from the ipod touch and still use your trusty toilet,water,bomb, drop proof Nokia.
To its credit, the iphone is beautiful and the simplicity and power of OSX is astounding, but do you really need all them features? I know smart phone users who don’t even know about half of what their phone can really do. So my point is, do you need all that features? Would you use it? To be fair, i’d say most of us will just use the call and sms features and all the other web browsing things are just “by the way” features. And as for the ipod feature? yep it works just the same as with the ipod touch. In short, the ipod touch is just a stripped down version of the iphone, with all the media bells and whistles less the ability to make phone calls.
Now, it all boils down to these issues:
1) just how much of an ipod user are you?
2) what does portability mean to you? All in one etc…
3) Do you need to have the latest and greatest?
4) Do you even know what technology you’re buying into?
5) The touch screen and cost. (bear in mind it costs almost twice as much just for touch screen technology vis a vis a normal ipod with almost all the features - less wifi, and with tons more space. 16gb vs. 160gb)
That said both products are sexy. Probably sexier than the users that carry them. So don’t whip it out when trying to pick up girls cause you’ll just look like a loser and you’ll get outdone by a piece of glass and some computer chips. Now you heard that immortal saying from Bruce Lee in “Enter The Dragon, that “boards don’t hit back” well if a girl chooses your phone over you, then fuck, that seriously has got to hurt.
